1st Transcontinental Railroad 77 Year Old Vintage Mint Stamp Block from 1944

Description

A beautiful collectible set of four U.S. postage stamps issued on May 10th, 1944 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the completion of the first transcontinental railroad in 1869.
The stamps depict the "Golden Spike Ceremony".
These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as the day they were sold at the Post Office almost 80 years ago!  Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift to anyone interested in train history and is a must have anyone who collects train memorabilia!
