    Presented today is this very interesting Hopi Kachina sculpture, depicting the important Guard Kachina, Heoto. This doll is the work of Merle Zeena of Walpi, completed in 1996 when he was only 13 years old. i personally love the work of very young carvers. You can see the creative and technical struggle developing into a unique voice, and nowhere is it more apparent than in this example.
