    Beautiful Native American Buffalo Grass Doll by Lorene Drywater, Cherokee National Treasure and Oklahoma native artist. The following is inscribed on the doll’s underskirt, along with the artist’s signature: “Original Buffalo Grass Doll by Lorene Drywater, 19559E steelyhollow Rd. Tahkequoh, OK 74464.” Ms. Drywater has been making these dolls since she was a child and it was reported in “National Geographic “ magazine that she is the only known Cherokee artist to make these type of dolls. She has been featured on various shows and magazines and has won awards for her craft. This doll would make a wonderful treasure for collectors of dolls and Native American art.
