Old Elderly American Indian Skookum Doll w/ Eyes Forward - Souvenir Nat'l Park

Approx. 11/12" tall, this unusual Indian doll has a heavy head, which I believe is made of chalk. He has wooden legs and a stuffed body wrapped in a lovely blanket. The detail in his face is extraordinary with realistic facial expression and lines in his face. The eyes are pointing forward, very different from most of these Indian dolls. He has a leather banner that reads 'Skyline Drive Shenandoah Nat'l Park Va.' He is in very good shape with the exception of missing some of his head feather, 2 light thinning areas on the back of his robe, necklace appears loose (I did not want to pull it out from around his neck), and he's missing his braid ties. There are 2 very tiny nicks to his face - one on left eyebrow and another that size on right cheek. A wonderful old Indian doll of nice size and of a different face. He looks like he should be a chief or an elder. Good luck!
