    Description

Lovers of Pueblo Nations Kachina Dolls, take a look at this, very nice Navajo "Hoop Dancer" Kachina.
The doll stands approx. 7 3/4 inches tall; the widest point of the doll is across the hands and is approx. 4 1/2 inches, it is approx. 3 1/2 inches deep, and the diameter of the base is approx. 2 1/2inches. The piece is signed on the base, though I cannot make out the artist's name. The body is formed from carved and painted wood, accented with feathers and split soft suede painted with symbolic motifs. The dancer holds three interconnected hoops, symbolizing the relationships between all living beings. This dancer is intended to teach the importance of harmony and balance in life, and the eternal cycles of nature.
