Platter measures approximately 11.5 inches long by 9.25 inches wide. Very few utensil scrape marks (photo #2). Circular indentation in glaze without being worn off near top of platter (photos # 2 & 3). Short, rough dash mark worn through glaze on front of platter at feet of far left bird (photo #4 ). Underside marked "SYRACUSE CHINA ECONO-RIM 12-R TRADE MARK PAT. PENDING" as well as "The TRAVELER" and "DESIGNED ESPECIALLY FOR Milwaukee Road DINING CAR SERVICE".. Date mark is 12-R. Railroad letter stamp of "I" (as in capital letter "i") difficult to see on bottom (photos #7 & 8). Two 0.25-inch long scrape marks through glaze on bottom of platter (photo #9). Three equidistant marks around underside of oval possibly from firing process in kiln -- Photos #10 & 11 show a tiny yellow bit in glaze and photo #12 shows a dot of glaze missing. No reserve.
